Description

Step into a forgotten cultivation dungeon sealed for a thousand years. Every cell you reveal could hide: demonic beasts, death arrays, lingering sword-echoes of fallen cultivators... or the breakthrough you desperately need.

Threshold Seeker is a grid-based dungeon crawler that fuses minesweeper logic with xianxia (Chinese cultivation) themes. The numbers on empty cells aren't mines — they're the combined levels of nearby monsters. Use your Spirit Orb to scout ahead, fight demons to gain Cultivation, manually break through to higher realms, slay the boss, and claim the Throne Seal as proof of your ascension.

🗺️ Five Unique Dungeons

From an 8×10 entry cavern to a 15×12 abyssal heart. Each stage has its own boss, enemy mix, board size, and reward tier. Linear progression — every level harder than the last.

Demonic beasts ranging from Qi-level rats to transcendent Ancient Demon Gods. Death arrays that kill on contact. Stone walls with 3-layer seals. Mimics disguised as treasure chests. 6 talent trees × 3 levels each: Innate Dao Body, Keen Spirit Sense, Killing Intent, Talisman Master, Nimble Body, Deep Dao Fortune — plus Dungeon Sense to unlock the hidden 5th stage. Spirit Fragments 💠 earned on both victory and defeat. No run is wasted.

📖 Full Story

A typewriter-style narrative spanning all 5 stages. You are a wandering cultivator who stumbles into a dungeon sealed for a millennium. Beast Commander, Vine Lord, Twin Fiends, Elder Demon King, Ancient Demon God — each floor has its own tale. Auto-skipped on replay.

Dark dungeon × ink-wash hybrid CSS styling. Boss breathing animation. Throne Seal golden glow. 16 right-click spirit marks for tactical tracking. Immersive cultivation terminology throughout.

How to Play

  • Left-click: Reveal a cell. Monsters fight on click. Items pick up on click.
  • Right-click: Place spirit marks (numbers 1–12 / death array / blue? / green? / clear). Marks clear automatically when cell is opened.
  • Spirit Orb: Reveals 12 adjacent cells at game start. Subsequent orbs reveal a 3×3 area.
  • Breakthrough: Manually upgrade when Cultivation is ready. Fully restores Spirit.
  • Ascend: After defeating the boss and claiming the Throne Seal, choose to leave and tally your score — or keep exploring.
